Storytelling, Character Design & Watercolor with Tony is a behind-the-scenes look at Tony’s creative process, from the first loose sketch to the development of a fully realized fantasy character and environment. Through a live watercolor demonstration, Tony explores composition, organic linework, character development, color, texture, environmental observation, and the unpredictable nature of watercolor. Beyond technique, the lecture focuses on how artists create believable worlds—by observing nature, imagining the lives of their characters, adding meaningful details, and allowing ideas to develop naturally. Tony also shares inspiration from artists such as Moebius and Mike Mignola, encouraging artists to develop their own visual language and personal universe.
